Fratelli d’Italia Chianti

The nose of this wine is smoky, musty, and gamey; the palate is acidic and dry, overwhelming the subtle berry fruit. Skip it.

Trecciano Chianti

The nose vacillates between red berries and sweaty vegetation. If that isn’t enough to turn you off, the taste certainly will. Upon opening, the wine has a slight effervescence; however, this quickly fades into a thin, watery consistency, offering nothing more than a generic “grapey” finish.  For $7.99, there is better to be had.
